What you must know
There are a lot of sites that can host your Web pages for free. They permit you to store your pages on their servers (i.e. computers that are connected to the Internet all day).
If you want to use any of these services you typically need only to complete a form. Usually you will receive a password and an identifier for the FTP access (for example, in HyperPublish you have to select “Publish >Internet FTP >Configuration” in order to insert these parameters), and an Internet address where your pages will be displayed, for example http://johnsmith.freesite.com.
Your main page should be named something like “index.htm” or “index.html” (in HyperPublish, use “Format >Page properties >Text properties” and insert “index.html” in the gray box at bottom left; or use “Hypertext >Present hypertext properties”, and the second tab).
If you have a business it's better to choose a professional hosting service (not so good for your customers to display advertising for a free site!): there are hundreds of these services and we can not list them all here.
